Just-below-the-knee 30’s inspired bias dress. It fits snug over the hips and the lower skirt flares out into a 1⁄2 circle.
The V-neck bodice is cut on the straight grain and finished with a facing. There is shirring under the bust and across the back waist which also has a 2 piece belt. The entire skirt and the fluted 3⁄4 circle sleeves are cut on the true bias.
I posted a free downloadable (but many pages!!) pattern on my blogsite for making this dress with sewing instructions too. The pattern is size UK 10/12- US6/8- EU 38/40
Made in silk charmeuse.

This dress is really beautiful, sophisticated and stylish.
I’d like to say a mega special thank you for taking the time to post your pattern. Even nicer for free. It’s lovely that some members of this site understand that it’s a community and not just a place to show off their clothing for egotistical reasons not contributing anything back. Its great that you understand people here are learning from each other and sharing ideas. (little rant sorry).
I’m looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful creations.

You are most welcome :)
And it’s you who makes the seam-allowance guide!! I saw that a while ago somewhere, such a brilliant idea for allowance-less patterns.
