Brooklyn, New Yo...
When I bought this dress at the thrift store, it was a t-shirt dress, in this amazing black silk, but was several sizes too big for me and down to my ankles. I turned it into a tank dress, shortened it, and made a tie for the waist. I think I made the straps a bit too wide, so they have a tendency to slip a bit, which is annoying. Ultimately, I don’t love the dress. My hem (especially along the bottom of the dress) isn’t smooth. But it’s really light, and great for warm weather.
