This is an all cotton version of Layla. I couldn’t find any pre-quilted backing that wasn’t polyester, so I made my own using a double layer of cotton batting. I also used a double layer of cotton fabric for the apron to give it some heft. The friend I made it for was of the opinion that the straps would hang better if they were a little closer together, so I made a small modification there.

really like the combination of colours on the apron and the mitts – unusual and makes a really nice change from the usual ‘kitchen’ colours!
