I was really worried this one wasn’t going to work out. But I’m pretty happy with it now it’s finished. I used my own self-drafted pattern as usual and probably went a bit overboard with the bows… but I like bows so it’s OK.
I also love it when people visit my blog!

Oh, pretty! And I’m confident it’d look equally nice (or even nicer?) combined with a smart, curvacious (with a peplum jacket) lady-suit, á la Mad Men. Don’t you think?

Thanks Karin! I agree that it would look lovely with a lady suit a la Mad Men. Alas I do not have one, although maybe this is a good excuse to make one!

I thought this was a silk fabric…the sheen gave it away. But how absolutely gorgeous! No, you didn’t go overboard with the blows. It’s perfect….this top is absolutely hotcha, guys will love it. Now frills in front (a guy buga-boo, I think). Now I will have to visit your blog to see where you got the fabric. I need to know.

Hahaha thanks for the compliment! My new boyfriend is a away at work but as soon as he comes home I’ll ask him his opinion (although I already know that he’ll like it as he likes anything that has boobs on display).
The fabric is from a shop in Perth (which I’m sure is too far away for you as I see you live in Chicago). But it’s pretty easy to find. I have loads of it from various sources, mostly ebay. I know you can also buy it from Mood Fabrics as I painstakingly filled my cart with many delicious goodies then found out that THEY DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY! Very upset! hehe

I definitely don’t think you went overboard with the bows….I’m a bow person too and see nothing wrong with adding them to everything! He he. Love the colour and shape of the top as well.

I also find bows very handy for hiding mistakes. “Oh there’s a big fat hole here?? Let’s whack on a bow!” Hahaha

Love the blouse with all the bows and ruffles! They give it a sort of baroque touch which is also great with the purple colour!

Cheers! I was a little worried that the puffy sleeves AND the ruffled peplum AND all the bows would be a bit much… but I think it worked out! I’m not sure if it would look any good with anything other than jeans, though.

Yes, but it looks great with jeans – so what else does one want? ;-)
