So back in September I signed up to take part in the Retro Pillow Challenge, I didn’t start my pillow till the end of the month and i just finished yesterday…..just a little late but at least i finished!
The entire thing is hand embroidered, the only machine sewing was putting front to back and piecing together some red and orange scraps. The picture that i was inspired by was actually a picture of fabric. I used black yarn and couched most of the picture, the chain stitch was used on some leaves, but was couched in to place. The flower centers are buttons and beads attached with invisible thread so its kinda delicate but i went through every bead at least twice……that part took forever. I’m really happy with it…..now I just have to keep it safe. My mom and Nana absolutely love it, they both asked for one.
