Description

These are over a year old, so sorry for being so absent from the sewing scene! I really love this floral print that I got from my mum, and as there wasn’t too much of it I decided to use it only for the bodice of a dress. The skirt part is also a second hand find of my mum’s and was a half-started skirt already. I basically only had to make it the length I wanted and finish up the seams before sewing it together with the bodice. Easy peasy! You can still see some of the turquoise thread used for basting that I hadn’t noticed before taking photos, but it’s all gone now. I’m also not too sure what the material of the skirt is, it’s quite structured and tough which gives a nice contrast to the floral print! I used loosely the same pattern that I did for my Vintage Rose Dress some years ago, and that still is one of my favourite patterns of all time:-) See more photos on my blog (from a post over a year ago..): http://summerviolets.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/two-churches-and-dress.html
