Beautiful work. Unlike anything I’ve seen recently on Burda.

gorgeous dress! This is so on trend and I love the chunky metal zipper—it is a great contrast to the elegant lattice. Excellent color too!

I’m a little sad I can’t wear this since I’m a guy. Which bring us to…….it’s today’s winner of the, “It’s so sharp, I’d wear it, and I”m a guy!" award.
Congratulations on your innovation and unbridled success.

I can’t follow a comment like that! I’m a girl but I’d still go with that!

That’s amazing! I love the lattice work, it’s such an original idea!

I’m interested in the construction details. Are those faced openings or criss-crossed strips?

Peaches,
You always ask the best questions!
ALWAYS!

they’re just criss-crossed (and top-stitched but you can’t see) strips
Jun 2, 2011, 09.51 PMby peaches2218
Thanks! I’ve been puzzling over how to do multiple geometric cut-outs in a lined dress with absolutely no visible raw edges and, if possible, without visible top-stitching. That’s where the question came from.

I think that can definitely be done but….so…much…work haha to make sure they’re all neat and even

And it looks so innocent from the front too! It looks brilliant.

Wow! Sexy dress! Back is fantastic. An invisible zipper would be a good choice too. Great job!
