I volunteer with Oxfam, and wanted something special to wear when I worked for the charity at Latitude festival. So I made this coffee date dress from some material bought in a charity shop. I omitted the ruffle but I’m really happy with how the dress turned out (yes I know I cut one of the skirt pieces out wrong but quite like the mismatched stripes at the back)… so if you’re thinking of making one you should!

Like, very much, I’ve printed it off and got my material but not made it yet, I know I’m going to have to make some alterations cos I’m a weird shape! Yours look lovely and I like the ‘wrong’ stripes, does that side hang differently/better?

It’s a really good basic design for making alterations to, so I look forward to seeing your final dress. Thanks for the compliment, I haven’t really noticed it draping differently.
