So I made this dirndl for my mum to wear for the “Wiesn”. She’s never been able to find one she really liked (she wanted a really classic, traditional one), so she asked me and I agreed – what she didn’t mention until later was that it had to be done in two days because of a birthday party she wanted to wear it at.
So this was all rather rushed, but I really love the result. Even though I already have my own dirndl I might just borrow it next year ;-)
The pattern I used is the same as the one you can purchase here at this site, though I didn’t download it but bought it in a store (I was to lazy to glue all these pages together :-P)
Oh and by the way, I didn’t make the blouse and the apron, these are bought. Didn’t have time for that ;-)
black velvet, black viscose and 10 silver buttons
