Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I had so much fun making this dress. I was so pleased with the way it was turning out, that had my husband not insisted I stop for the night, I think I would of sewn into the morning. I used a Simplicity pattern (2403), which was so similar to another Simplicity pattern I used just recently that I was able to sail through it easily.
The bodice is made with a quilting cotton. I know it’s not the best for garments, but the print was so cute I couldn’t resist. Skirt is a Pendleton wool and lined with red satin. Added some bias tape to the ruffle as well.

The print is called England. Selvage reads Aunt Grace " Friends Around the World" Judie Rothermel for Marcus Bro. 2005.
