This is my first drafted corset pattern. I used the fantastic resources on the Foundations Revealed website to learn how to draft a corset pattern as well as the techniques I needed to structure this corset.
The design is an idea I have been wanting to make for ages. It is inspired by vintage Las Vegas.
It is made from upholstery fabric backed onto stiff coutil. The boning channels are made using the seam allowance onseam and a false layer (of fine coutil) for the mid-panels. It is boned with a mix of flat steels, 7mm and 5mm spiral steels and lined with printed cotton.
I will hopefully get a picture of me wearing it this weekend that I can add. I am pretty happy with the fit and shape, it gives me approx 3" waist reduction and gives me the waist definition I lack naturally.
Coutil, flat steels, spiral steels.
