Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I made this coat from a very drapy wool and a beautiful, smooth polyester lining. It is heavily altered from Mccall 5525 and I tried to copy all the elements I liked about the Lady Grey coat — the big lapel, collar, 3/4 sleeves, flared bottom. I just made it much longer! I love the lining of the coat, it is perfectly linedto my lining, and the purple flowers matched the purple of the wool exactly! I made this coat very flared so that I can wear it with my 50s inspired dresses, which have very big skirts. I hope it will look nice with skinny jeans and boots too!
