LET’S MAKE A SANDWICH!!
Obvi, Lady Gaga is a popular costume… but this is what I consider a “lesser Gaga”. The waitress who poisons Tyrese in the video does not get very much play, despite being (in my humble opinion) the most striking and beautiful character in the whole 9 minute saga. Not to mention, Rachel Barrett does not get much credit for being the brains behind the rubber dress, which is one of my most favorite concepts in women’s fashion of the decade.
Material Notes
dress and hat: extra heavy duty film gard blow-dried into submission, sewed the sides and back darts with button hole thread
hair phone: the box the wig came in cut up, taped, and filled out with cotton balls
extras: yellow key ring, shower cap, white laboratory tape, and ZOTS!! OH MY GOSH THE ZOTS!! (these are tiny double stick circles that literally held the entire thing together)
