Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Although the hope of spring approaching is in the air these days, it’s still winter and quite dark outside. My kitchen needed some cosyness! I was very inspired when I saw Nice’s Light Shades in her Etsy Shop, so I scorched the local thrift-shops (and realised just HOW expensive thrift is in Stockholm, clothes anyway) for crocheted doilies and Lace and made one myself. It’s not quite like hers (they’re totally dreamy!), but my kitchen is a whole lot cosier now!

Thank you all, I’m so glad you like it! I’m actually normally a minimalist myself :-). I didn’t take any pictures while making it, but if I make another one I will, so I can make a how-to, it was really an easy project.

wonderful. and the way you put it together you’d never think those parts were meant to be anything else but the lampshade. i could do with a good table lamp – i’d have to make or find a frame for that as well…

gorgeous. it is an absolutley beautiful a use for those things! my grandmother has a ton of them in boxes, maybe she’ll let me steal some if i make her one too! would you post a how-to?

Honestly dear, yours is much prettier than the ones I saw you her site. Although those are lovely too. I think that this shade may have made me fall in love with lace again.

I love that! If I didn’t live with a boy who forces minimalism on me, I would make one too. Your orchids are pretty as well.
