I made this Sean Skirt with some Christian Lacroix fabric I bought at a fabric store that was selling it at a discount. The original pattern was too short for me (I’m 1.75m tall) so I decied to make is a low waist skirt and worked from a bigger size (42 instead of 36).

Anyone know where you can buy BurdaStyle magazine in Sydney, Australia? Looked in my favourite big newsagency without luck. :-(

Hi there!
Im from the Gold Coast, Australia, and I buy the BurdaStyle Magazine from Borders. They are two months behind though. Some Australian magazine shops online also sell it. Some even offer subscriptions. My local library also has them, so it might be worth a shot looking at yours :-)

I know my local spotlight doesn’t. I can get it at my local newsagent (if I’m quick enough!). I also know that some libraries get them in (maybe St Ives – not sure which part of Sydney you are after).

Speedimpex Australia Pty Ltd have bought out Europress P/L in Sydney and I get an annual subscription from them (for the last 3 years now – it is my Christmas present to me!). I live in Brisbane. Borders were very unreliable I found. You could order it from them or other large newsagencies who will probably go to Speedimpex anyway.

Yep,I feel the same way too. I like it also, I used to have one similiar to this one, now I can make another one with this beautiful fabric I have in my stash with butterflies.

I never really liked this pattern, but I do love your version. The fabric choice is so much nicer.

Lucky you!!! First the perfect fabric, than this gorgeous skirt!!! I discovered one of my old tricks in your story: shift waist to hips and it’s oke for a tall girl like me (1.78) and you. Your skirt is so nice!!!

love the skirt and that fabric is gorgeus, so lucky it was on discount.
