The skirt is based on the Judy pattern but instead of a binding the edge in charmeuse, I cut out lace and applied it to the edge of the pleating.

I really love this version! How did you add the lace? Did you appliqué it before you did the pleating?

Seriously! It is so beautiful… And i love the top you matched it with. This skirt is still above my skills, so I feel a little intimidated, but your version is delightfully interesting: I want one! Can you give me some information on the silk top? I think I’d like to reproduce the look in a more office-like version. Great work!

Hi Erdronen,
The skirt is the same than the Judy. The top is actually not a top :), we did not have anything to shoot it with and therefore just wrapped navy charmeuse around the dressform. I guess you could create a top out of it :)

beautiful! I love the lace! It makes a sporty skirt much more elegant. It looks great with that top too :) How did I miss this last week?

Think of all the other wonderful things you can do, for example instead of pleating the panel, using it flat and using several layers in a chiffon (assuming that the base fabric is of lighter nature as well) Or adding a trim to the bottom, ribbons etc…

This is very beautiful. It reminds me of the dresses that can be purchased at “Anthropoligie”. The lace takes it back to another time. Very creative and unique. Love it.

this version is gorgeous. I like everything lace-y! the black is too gothicesque though. but I will take it as an inspiration :)

I love your version of the Judy Benedikta! I would just hem it defferently-with a very fine silk lining on the back of the lace part.

Oh waw, silk wool sounds like such a nice fabric! Really successful job with pleating the lace and hemming it. Very elegant!
