Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is basically a t-shirt with the shoulders, neck opening and sleeves made of lace instead. I used a self drafted pattern but you could easily recreate it by chopping off the upper part of a t-shirt and replacing it with lace.
Lace like this can be tricky to work with. Be careful not to rip it! I covered the raw edges with bias tape for a smooth finish and serged the seams that attached to the lower jersey part. I like the two tone look but it would also be nice in one solid color.
And now I’ve added a tutorial on my blog on how to make your own version. I might add the tutorial on BurdaStyle, too, but I’m a little too lazy right now, ha!

thanks, I was thinking of making Colette’s Macaroon dress pattern (which has a sweetheart neckline) with lace for the top portion.
