Description

Found some lace curtains from the 80’s in my basement, decided to make a dress with them! Has stretchy white lining for comfort, and back pleat details next to the zipper

Pattern provided is NOT MINE, I uploaded it so that if you wanted it you would not have to spend hours searching for it on the web like I did! But the original link is in a comment I wrote a while back for additional sizes. Thank you!

danii97, grateful if you could give credit or a link to the website that offered this pattern initially. Lovely job on the dress but it would have been nice if you mentioned where you got the pattern else, people might think that you created it. For everyone’s info, the patterns for sizes S and M are available here http://m-sewing.com/patterns-catalog/women/dresses/satin-dress.html

I have tried to open the link every way imaginable. It tries to print one one page. There are no options for printing it to scale or on multiple pages …. HELP! And yes I read the FAQ, still cant figure it out.

If you have the latest Adobe Reader i.e Adobe Reader X and so forth, go to Print then on the “page sizing & handling” option, select Poster. Ensure tile scale is 100% and check both “cut marks” and “labels” as they will help you when assembling the papers. Once done, you may print them out.

I tried downloading the copyshop and print at home pattern, but when I open the PDF file it will not open because the file is corrupted. I tried it with two different computers. Will you be kind to email me the files to my email? Thank you in advance. My email is binky17312@yahoo.com

It is easier to copy paste the link into your address bar, then right click and download the PDF to your computer. Then it should print out to scale

This was the first real dress ive ever made and i love the way it came out!! I was lazy and did it without the zipper or anything… and its a bit of a squeeze… but once its on its great. (i will use a zipper next time!)

    thanks for posting this :)

Adorable! There is a ModCloth ad on the page right now that shows a very similar dress, and yours looks every bit as good. Plus, major points for giving new life to old fabric.

hmm,, im sure you could cut out the size medium a bit bigger, its a simple block pattern so it shouldn’t interfere with the fit it should just enlarge it

the pattern is a size small, which should fit an american size 1-5 depending on how much seam allowance and the type of fabric. there is a link of the medium on the pattern description too

This is a lovely pattern indeed. However, the pattern was not made by danii97. This pattern is readily available here http://m-sewing.com/patterns-catalog/women/dresses/satin-dress.html

on the page set up on the printing window, change the Page Scaling to “Tile all pages” instead of what it automatically clicks which is usually “Scale to Fit” or something along those lines
