This boleo was made from lace for her wedding dress. I made the pattern and was mostly satisfied with it. It restricted her movement a bit which caused it to bunch up some by the end of the night. I would have liked to rework it a little to avoid that but we just ran out of time. I have not had a lot of experience drafting from scratch and would love to know how you would have gone about it.
It was made to hook on with hook and eyes.

Despite the technical drawbacks, this piece is absolutely gorgeous! You did a great job!

Great job, attaching it to the dress I’m sure was part of the problem. Another problem I see is where the seams lye and shape the shoulder, but I’m sure that was the limitation of the lace. had you been able to curve to the shoulder and move the armcye out a tad before adding the cap sleeve it would stay in place better with the movement of the body.

Thank you, I was so nervous as it was for her wedding! I attached it with 4 hook and eyes in the inside of the dress top. She wanted no material under her arms so I thought it was the best solution.

May be that is the reason why it rush up by the end of the evening……because what you did, is that you added a part to the dress, that is more complicated than to make a loose bolero. You really did a lovely job to be proud of!!!
