I wanted vintage style dress for my 30th birthday. I love lace at the moment so I decided to make a dress from a colored lace with nude fabric underneath.
I found the red lace on sale. Only thing was that id did not have scalloped edge, but I cut them my self and they turned out great!
The neckline on the original pattern looked good on the model but not on me, so I turned the corners in and it became much more flattering.
I read about problems with the sleeves being too tight from other people’s projects so I decided to do very simple lace sleeve on the dress.
I really love how it turned out!
Lace, bridal satin underneath. I sew the fabrics together before sewing the dress together. I did not want the seams on the lace showing on the dress.
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
