This was a project for my apparel assembly class. Because the vest is so simple, I wanted to do something to add interest, and lace seemed like the perfect touch. I cut flower and vine shapes from some antique lace I found at a flea market, and appliqued the pieces on before constructing the vest together. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and this project made me realize how much I love applique!
