Lace and sheer panelled corset.

Manchester, Unit...

Once again, looking to using up my fabric stash I found a piece of lace that I could not remember why I bought it as it was red (oh dear thought about all the tackiness associated with the colour red and lace!) and it was not even a decent sized remenant. Anyway, my sewing mentor told me she had devised a new original pattern that it would be perfect for. She was right the result was beautiful and in my opinion very sexy not tacky! The corset has a sheer midriff which can be as deep as you want depending on how much you wish to reaveal, so it is brilliant for using up small quantities of fabric – especially if the fabric is pricey!

Coutil was used as the backing fabric.

Material Notes

Lace, coutil and polyester.

Garment Type
Evening Wear, Goth/Gothic Lolita, Rock, Victorian, Vintage
Lace/Sequins, Polyester

I definitely will. I like corsets and I’ve sketched a few designs for some, but I’m waiting until I’m a bit more advanced to try them out. I’d love to see what you’re going to do.

Wow! I love corsets! But I am afraid they are to difficult for me (as from now at least)! Great job!

Thanks! I am working on some more ideas – don’t know when they will actually get made, but watch this space!
