I made this dress from a vintage dress that I picked up at the thrift store (I added the before picture of the dress to the gallery for this project).
Long story short: I removed the top of the dress, took the bodice in a bit on the sides, attached a recycled lace yoke, removed the damaged smocking, and re-attached the shortened skirt.
