Description

I made this dress from a vintage dress that I picked up at the thrift store (I added the before picture of the dress to the gallery for this project).

Long story short: I removed the top of the dress, took the bodice in a bit on the sides, attached a recycled lace yoke, removed the damaged smocking, and re-attached the shortened skirt.

If you would like to see more information about the process, and/or more pictures, please check out the post on my blog.

I love the ‘old’ and ‘new’ feel to it! Definitely way more fitting than the original.

What a wonderful dress you made out of it! Nice and flattering and much better than the “original”!
