I finished this skirt, a Colette Patterns Meringue, a while ago, but I needed to wait for an appropriate setting for photographs. The Mercado in Viejo San Juan seemed like a perfect place, right?
I cut a size 8 after my size 6 muslin fit oddly. This, however, fits me nicely. I omitted the scallops and added a waistband, but otherwise made no changes. It’s a great and very easy pattern to follow, and as always, Colette patterns instructions are superb.
The fabric is an upholstery weight cotton I got from a hoarders stash, and the zipper came in a pack of about 100 for 3 dollars. Go thrifty me.
