A former co worker of mine had given me a Simplicity bag pattern, and I finally got around to using it. I wanted to use the koi fish design I had in my embroidery inventory, so I picked the batik based around that design. I also used some ombre thread to put decorative oval satin stitches on the bag in lieu of ric rac (I also got the thread free from work). This bag is lined, has a zipper welt pocket, and a magnetic snap. It was so much fun to make that I think I will make more of this patterned bag for xmas presents.
