Some years ago I had a bag from the Gap and used it till it fell apart. So once it no longer was of any use I took it apart and copied the pattern. Making a few changes along the way to the purse I would have liked it to be. Things I added were two outside pockets, zippers, and I made it a bit bigger all around. My version of the bag is made from plain woven nylon with a rubber backing. The strap is made from cotton strapping and the hardware on the strap is from an old Esprit bag I scraped. The strap runs around the whole of the bottom of the bag for added support. The lining is cotton Alice in Wonderland from SuperBuzzy.com. The bag is light weight and spacious, that means I can fill it full of all the crap I want. I have been using it for several months now and it has held up really well to all of the abuse that I usually put my things through.
The lines of Greek architecture inspire this neutral and pastel collection.
