Really cute top! I am a new to sewing but am willing to try most anything, especially if it’s something I will wear!

This is stunning! I saw the pattern (yay!) but have you come out with the how-to yet? Also, I’ve never downloaded a pattern off Burda because I’m semi-new to the site but I really want to make this! How do you go about downloading and printing it?

it certainly is very wearable. I have seen more than one old fashion style pattern turn into wonderful knit wear, it’s really inspiring!

I think it is great, but would be a bit too tight for my chubba arms. =o)

Thanks for compliments again. Staticstasy, you will need twice as much the size of patterns when glued together. And yes, the first picture was taken on dressform. I had how tos posted over how tos sections if you want to draft bigger size.

Oooh! Pretty! How much fabric do I need about? Oh, and is the first picture on the doll? I’ll probably have to make it a bit smaller…

I absolutely love this and I’m so glad you’ve posted the pattern! I adore leg of mutton sleeves – I put them on a jacket once after seeing how to do the alteration in one of my vintage drafting books and I was hooked ever since! I’ll even take the plunge and draft it up to a 42 for myself, that’d how badly I love this!

Yes, it is one piece sleeve! It’s called leg o mutton, very old fashion stlye but making it in knit, it is wearable, don’t you think?

I love the neck part that you call “fake turtleneck” it looks so good without any seams there. Great job. It is very elegant!

Good to here all the feedback, I sometimes really doubt my taste. Thank you so much for very kind compliments. I will upload the pattern and how to on Tue. It’s not hard at all, you can finish this top in one day from start to finish that why I keep collar un- complicated. Lauriana, it is a straight line from shoulder, another word …fake turtleneck. Make as high as you want and wear it different way, fold half way, fold lower, higher etc.. It will work with boat neck style too.

I love it! Those sleeve are gorgeous, and I also like the gathers on the body. Having an A-cup myself, I’m familiar with that kind of shaping ;) but I really like the unusual way you’ve done it here (not making an underbust cross seam, but a panel). What kind of neckline did you make? It looks like a cowl neck cut with the body pieces

Thanks! Can you see the photos? I can’t see it from main creation page… I am posting the photo of this top to see if anybody likes it because I plan to do a how to on drafing this top. I will only upload the pattern in one size (bust 32") because I can’t do grading part, it’s way too hard and take too much of my time.
