Description

I’d been sitting on this black-n-white floral silk for too long. My courage has reached a level where using slippery fabric is now a reality. This dress is a hybrid between a shirt pattern and a basic skirt with pockets. The shirt was supposed to have shorter ties sewn in at the sides but I decided to go for the whole look and give it an Obi (a faux-bi?) style with a scrap of black at the waist and a cotton black-n-white contrasting fabric as the optional belt. I love it and I don’t want to take it off.

Material Notes

Silk dress, cotton on the faux-bi

Thanks! I was happily surprised to find that the silk wasn’t very difficult to work with after all.

Beautiful. Silk is so luxurious, I don’t blame you for not wanting to take it off. :)
