Having made one kimono tee I thought I’d have another go in some fabric I had. However this fabric was not cotton jersey and tended to ‘billow’ around the arm pits. I added a couple of pleats to take up this excess; I’m not sure with this worked. I also used a neckband and cuffs from an old top. I gathered in the excess at the neck and cuffs. This I would try again as I think this contract looks great.
Generally I’ve ended up with a ‘boxy’ feel to the top and I hope this could give it a contemporary effect especially when wore over a long sleeved tee in autumn/winter.
