Description

Week 4 of my Spring Sewing Challenge. My goal for this week was to make two variations of the free Sorbetto pattern from Colette Patterns. This is the first one, made in a jersey knit fabric. I’m not terribly happy with how it turned out, but it’s wearable and I think I learned some good lessons on how to deal with knits for the next time around.

The fit is really good, and so is the neckline. Those are not easy things to accomplish. Great job, keep it up :)

Even though you may not be happy with your top, I think it looks great on you. Knit fabrics are a challenge to begin with, but once you get use to them, they are quite easy to deal with. I am sure there are some good tutorials on you- tube for sewing knits.
