Description

I made this kimono-like robe out of an old sheet, and it turned out to be more or less a summer-weight Snuggy, which is cool. I patched any existing holes and bleach spots with flower-shaped patches, because that seemed vaguely Japanese. Used this project http://www.burdastyle.com/creations/show/1600 as inspiration. It took about 5 hours.
Note: I made mine 60" long from top to bottom, and am 5’9". If you’re making one of these yourself, adjust the length accordingly.

Cool! I like this print, too. Yay for recycling old couches! Mine is lime green and from 1962, but still in good upholstery shape right now. If my “Jimmy Hoffa Couch” ever needs recovering, I won’t be afraid to try. Thanks for inspiring me.
