From Weekend Sewing, by Heather Ross.
Using the wrong side of a washed silk that is "drab" colored--a grayish brown. Very pleased with the outcome. I have not yet sewn the obi, and like it with this black leather belt. I added 3" to this skirt because I am six feet tall.

Thanks to all for the positive feedback. This dress has seen a lot of wear this autumn, as it is November and my geraniums are still blooming out front!
The pattern I used is from Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross. I sewed the M/L size, and am pleased with it. A simple project that took an afternoon to complete.

Wonderful dress! I absolutely love it!!! Was the belt made by you or store-bought?

Thanks very much!
The belt was purchased at 2007 Bust Craft Fair in Manhattan. I will check the label at home, and come back to update!
I also wear with a matching knit obi (from Norah Gaughn vol.1), which gives a different look.

Thank you for the information. Any chance we can see photos of the dress with the other belt?

This is gorgeous! Seems you have the same body shape as I do (I am 6’2’’), maybe I should try this pattern as well! Did you use a pattern?

I love this dress. What pattern did you use? Looks great and looks like
it would suit a busty-er woman like myself. I would love to have the link
to this pattern! I just made the BSs’ Desira top into a dress and yours reminds
me very much of my dress; comfy, the wrap style etc.
Love your dress. Would love to see the silk you used up close! :-)

Well done, it looks beautiful! I tried to make this and ended up having to put a seam up the back and take it in 4 inches… It still looks rubbish!
