Description

I used the simple tutorial from Leanne Barlow (link for tutorial in the blog). I’ve been searching high and low for a DIY tutorial that was simple, yet had some structure, so that I could create my own pattern to use for future Kimonos, and her tutorial fit the bill just right! The fabric I chose is from Hancocks Fabric, which is a Poly Chiffon. It wasn’t the most pleasant fabric to work with, but I knew it would provide the “flowy” kimono look I was going for!

      Thank you! Try the tutorial!. It’s so easy, and I don’t use the word “easy” lightly when it comes to sewing. lol

    This is gorgeous, I have just finished a top with chiffon so I know what you mean lol. The fabric is lovely though I intend to make myself one after I made my daughter one. These look great over bikinis jeans etc x

      Thank you! If the the finished product didn’t look so nice with chiffon, I wouldn’t even bother with it. haha

      And yes, the Kimono is so versatile! I love them! Can’t wait to see your finished product!
