This is a mini collection I completed in June for my fashion design class. The design was inspired by the Japanese kimono and cultured in texture and fabric to bring in my African heritage:)
I started out with different shapes…circles and rectangles, I draped these on my fitting doll and in time came up with the designs.
All designs copyright:)
The only store bought pattern was for the shorts…I will check for the burda reference.
Cotton, Ankara and leather for some of the belts.
