My daughter wanted a kimono for her holiday but the one she liked was way to expensive. Mum to the rescue lol. I got the photo sent and luckilly i was able to get similiar fabric from one of my ebay sellers i use constantly, she sells ends of rolls and all her fabric is fab.
I had a choice of two kimonos from burda but kelsey liked this one. Clio did a fabulous one of these and thanks to her i got a good link to making it.The origonal one in burda is lace so i just did my own thing on this. I lined it with Heavyweight cotton.fabric as the tie dye jersey was quite light. I added a stretch panal down the centre back seam partly for comfort and partly because i did’nt have enough cotton. The fringe was added by hand and i have to say i like this and my daughter is now on her way to the airport wearing it so i’m happy x
