Had this stripe organza material in my stash for awhile, I love the colors but did not know what to sew it in because the material was so rough and stiff. I was passing a store and saw this style in the window, theirs was made in stripe stretchy material. I though that it would fit the material I had perfectly!
It’s actually one of the few kimono’s i’ve ever sewn and sometimes I do have issues with how the armhole section fits (something I have to work out in the future) however otherwise, it went perfectly. There are 2 ties at the back, at the top around my neck and at the bottom around my back. This is also something I made a while ago and want to re-make. I would change the style just a little bit though.
I also hope I can find a material that is similiar.
