Description

This kimono is made without a pattern, but I looked at pictures like this:
http://www.geocities.com/kimono_history/images/kimono_part.gif
to figure out how it should be made. I just used 5 pieces of rectangle fabric (2 for front panel, 1 for the back, 2 for the sleeves) but i think real kimono is slightly more complicated. but well, I really like how it looks at the end!

Oh This is very beautiful love the fabric but uh Kimonos are always wrapped with the left side over the right (except when dressing the dead for burial) so when you wrap the right over the left like you did it means your dead. but still very awesome.

Beautiful kimono! I really like your choice of the embroidered flower fabric— adds a nice modern touch while still looking very classic.

Great obi. I’ve made a few kimonos and they look much like yours. If your first (?) effort looks this good without a pattern, I’d love to give you about 6 yards of silk and turn you loose! Job very well done. Nehmah
