  I like your choice of fabric… quite impressive. May I ask, how is the fit of the dress? Is it true to size?

    I had to change some details on it:
    As my bust is notso small, I gathert the front instead of pleats, else it would not fit. Also I had to take in the skirtpart a bit at the waist, but that is something I always need to do. Stil I need to change the shoulders or at least sew something in, to keep the shoulders were they should be…
    All in all it was a frustrating job to sew the dress, because the lining and the upper fabric of the blouse part didn´t sem to match…
    But if you manage to sew this dress it feels god to wear it and looks verry elegant, so go ahad and try!

  This version looks very nice, especially the combination of purple brocade and grey silk! I’ve been wondering about altering this dress to only a skirt, how is the feeling of the bottom part, is it fitted?

    Yes the skirtpart is fitted and I think it could make it as a skirt allown.
