Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This coat was from a vintage pattern I had from won on ebay. But I tweeked it just alittle, I added the red trim because I had seen a movie and one of the actress was wearing a coat with the same look. I looked every where for a coat like that, so I decided to make one but I wanted to test it out on my friends kid first. The inner lining I used a red flannel, and I used gold buttons. The brown coat is from the same vintage pattern but its a single button variation. Its not as warm because I used 100% cotton as a lining.
Material Notes
100% cotton navy blue/ brown canvas
Lining is red brushed flannel/ 100% cotton pattern fabric

It looks like something Marlo Thomas would wear on That Girl! Also reminds me of Madeline! This is soooo cute, I’ve been dying to find a coat just like this one! Awesome job!

I used Simplicity 9042 it looks like it might have been printed in the 70s Thank you, i like things with a retro twist to it. but for my size i had to use a different pattern…ill let you know when i find the envelope.

Thank you I used Simplicity 9042 it looks like it might have been printed in the 70s, and its a unisex size 2. I think you can always tweek to how your like it.
