Yay for new spring jackets! I made this trench using McCall’s 5525, and I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to wear it. The fabric is Amy Butler’s Full Moon Polka Dot in Lime, fully underlined with muslin because it’s too lightweight for a jacket on its own. The lining is rayon bemberg in a blush pink shade. I used Gutermann buttons which just magically happened to be the exact same shade of lime green, and lime green thread to topstitch the seams.
Check out my blog for lots more info about this project!

Your coat looks great!! I am halfway through my own polka dot spring trench at the moment! (Mine has tiny dots though). I love your fabric choice – it is so nice and happy.

Its just beautiful. I would never have thought to use Amy Butler fabric for a trench – what good idea to underline with muslin… and those buttons, well they’re perfect. Enjoy!
