This dress was a crazy idea from the start, I think I’m watching to much project runway. First I found this printed burlap. Soon after I found the cotton printed fabric (both from Joann’s). I thought about what can I do with these two very different fabrics. I took and leap of faith and decided to use Simplicity (Cynthia Rowley) # 2250. I’ve never sewn with burlap though I’ve seen pillows made out of it. All and all it was a time consuming project, I lined the skirt since the burlap was see through. The top is very detailed though it’s hard to see that in the photos. It also has pockets!
