A spring tunic made from McCalls 4381. The name is because the Asian styling of it and the color reminds me of a colorful jacket that one of the characters in the show “Firefly” wore once.
Lightweight brocade, button, ribbon (for the button loop), zipper

This particular brocade was a little tough to work with— it was more lightweight than the Chinese-style brocades that are usually in the local fabric store, so it frayed a lot and snagged more easily and I had a bit of trouble finishing the seams. (Though the latter is probably because I’m still trying to learn how to use my serger!)

What beautiful fabric! Was it difficult to sew the brocade fabric?
