It was for a nonconventional final, so i used things tha weren’t fabric…
lots of x-rays painted for butterflies and wire with lentejuleas…the big pirate neck is made out of small pieces of fabric!

Why is in your country el dia de los muertos almost happy event? Teach me something! Here, it’s very different, everyone is very silent & dressed in darkish colors.

Well actually el dia de los muertos is a a celebration from northern central american countries. It is a beautiful celebration, it is a happy colorful celebration of their ancesters. Butterflies represent kids souls. It takes place almost for a week between the 31st of october and the 3rd of november. They eat and dance and go to the cementery to clean the tombs and eat next to them.
