Kate Moss Jacket

Wonderland, Unit...

Or: You don’t have to be a celebrity to wear (or afford) one of these (but it’ll make you feel like one)

Inspired by the BurdaStyle Blog entries Warm Up with Faux Fur and Spotted I decided to make this leopard print faux fur jacket. I love animal prints and found this fabric for £5/m so just couldn’t resist. The lining was somewhere in the back of my sewing cupboard so all in all this jacket cost me £10 :-)

I vaguely based the jacket on a pattern from an old Burda magazine but changed the length and drafted a different collar for it. As I’ve been stuck in a bit of a rut recently I’m really pleased with myself for having gotten my act together and sewn this jacket today, especially as I’d never worked with faux fur before!

Material Notes

Faux Fur (about 2 m), lining fabric

Looks really cool! I’m also working on a fur vest, because one of my relatives gave me an unfinished one out of hare fur… I still have to add lining.

    Leopard, lined, and lucious!

It’s official, your rut is behind you. Simply break off the rearview mirror, step on the accelerator, and CREATE!

It may be a digital world, but it’s best peppered with the doings of an anologue girl.
