I made this Kasia skirt some time before the summer in a slightly stretchy curduroy. I lined the inside of the flap with viscose lining and added a little snap button to hold the flap up better. My absolute favourite thing about this skirt are the buttons I found: large, metallic buttons with the Austro-Hungarian eagle on them! So funny! I love them! And the skirt turned out to be super versatile so I’ve worn it a lot. The only annoying thing is the flap that keeps sliding down to reveal the zipper behind it. Does this happen to a lot of Kasias out there?!

I love your skirt! totally awsome and it can be a wardrobe basic and it also can be trendy with the buttons, it falls right into the whole military trend that is so hot right now!

Love your version! My kasia doesn’t have the “sliding down problem.” It’s probably because of your heavier fabric. The snaps are definitely a good idea. Love the button choice!

Yeah, the girls I love seeing here are finally back! First CarotteSauvage, now you. The skirt is gorgeous, the buttons are perfect for it. Did you interface the flap? I suppose you did, maybe the corduroy you used needs some heavier weight interfacing… Ghainskom’s suggestion could work. Also, you can use velcro tape to fix the flap.

I sew some transparent hidden snaps (big ones) between the flap and waistband. Maybe that could help you too? Love the buttons!

Thanks for the tip! Yes, bigger snap buttons might do the trick…
