Description
My first try on a highwaisted garment.
I decided to useleftover fabric from my big IKEA stash for trying.
At first I was very happy about it, cause I thought it suits me fine (although I haven´t really a waist). And I enjoy the highwaisted clothing.
I asked my boyfriend if he like the skirt. And he doesn´t like it :(. He said I had made better things yet :(( and the skirt is oldfashioned.
And now I´m doubtful! Can I wear this skirt or not?

I love the fabric! I think the skirt looks great on you but even if you took the hem up an inch or 1.5 it would look spot on. But if its one of those projects that your over its great as it is :)

When I opened up this creation I said “WOW” out loud. Yes, high waisted clothing is old fashioned, but fashion works in cycles! Your body looks amazing in this. Enjoy it! I like the focus on white.

It looks fabulous. I am just about to finish mine. I love this pattern. My husband even dislikes my anda dress until I put accessories with it. They don’t get fashion. Every girl that sees you in it will want one too. Wear it to the mall…then see how you like it. =)

Actually this is the first highwasted garment that I like! I think it suits you very well. You just have to point out to your boyfriend how gorgeous your butt looks in it. ;)

This looks so good! you say you don’t really have a waist, well that’s what waist accenting clothes are good for: to suggest you do! And that works briljantly here. Your boyfriend just needs some time to get used to it, I guess. My boyfriend felt pretty much the same about my first high waisted garment, but now he loves it when I wear them (high waistband=long legs ;). It’s still a bit of an ‘up-and-coming’ look, so no wonder it looks a bit strange and old-fashioned to him now.

This is a great skirt! It’s very flattering to your body. I agree with the comment about wearing it with a higher heel; and perhaps a tan or flesh tone shoe instead of a brightly colored one. That way, the shoe does not compete with the skirt.

Another great creation! First of all, it’s not oldfashioned and second, it fits you perfect! If I were you, I would wear it. You said that this is your first highwaisted cloth, and maybe your boyfriend isn’t used to see you in such a cloth. But wear it and hear other oppinions. :)

Just consider the opinion of your boyfriend if he has the same as you. Boys don’t have a clue about fashion at all ;) I think it turned out really great! The fabric is super and the stripes indeed make you look longer. Great piece of work!

I like your skirt! It looks really great. I think I would wear it with high-heels so that the legs appear to be longer. Don’t mind that your boyfriend doesn’t like it, your ‘Kasia’ suits you perfect and the striped fabric is really nice!

I like it. I think it fits you perfect. You skirt is absolutely not old fashioned. It looks very modern and the colour is great. It is a must have for in the summer.
