Burda Style For people who sew

Wow, I have to admit, I didn’t think this would turn out to be so simple. I took the Lagerfeld skirt pattern and literally just copy-and-pasted the crotch section of a pair of well-fitting shorts right onto it.
I love Lagerfeld, and I loved this skirt pattern, but I just really needed a pair of shorts (for my 10 piece winter travel set – you can read about it on my blog if you’d like). Also, I just don’t wear mini skirts that much. Oh yes, I did make the shorts quite a bit longer than the original skirt pattern. On a model, the original would be fabulous – on me? Uhm, no.
Sorry the black is just so difficult to photograph well…
By the way, I also made the blouse – it is posted here in my studio as well.
