Karl Lagerfeld for Burda tweet blazer

Added Oct 10, 2010

Berlin, Germany

I was really excited when I saw the blazer on the cover of the october issue of Burda magazine. Originally I wanted to copy it entirely but I couln’t find a (white) waffle piqu anywhere so I ended up buying this olive colored tweet. I used suede-leather scraps as accents for the pockets and leather buttons I had in my stash. It wasn’t as complicated to sew as I expected and I love the result. It’s nice to own something with a more unusual cut.

As always, there are more pictures on my blog

Material Notes

olive tweet, suede leather, leather buttons, white polyester lining

Garment Type
Blends, Leather/Fur, Polyester

Wow! It’s interesting how the tweed totally changes the look. I think that your version will be more versatile. Thanks for sharing!

This is super cool! The fabric is so nice, and suits the jacket. I like this more than the original in the BWoF-magazine!

I think it probably looks better in this colour! I love the result, I would definitely wear it.

Thank you, that’s so nice to hear…or read in this case.
