Description

Inspired by Grograin’s lovely final project in her “Embellish Your Knits Month” (http://grosgrainfabulous.blogspot.com/2010/12/embellish-knit-month-day-30.html) — and the fact that I just so happened to have the exact same shade of peach chiffon lying around (a sign?) — I wanted to do something with these flowers I made (follow the link to Grosgrain to see how to make them. They’re super easy). Then I saw all the votes for the Batwing Top pattern (by Burdastyle member Pixielink) in the Holiday GIveaway that asked what everyone’s favourite pattern was. Marrying the two design ideas seemed like the right thing to do — and I love the results. I really like the Batwing Top pattern and would recommend it to anyone. It’s quick and easy, and my sewing machine behaved itself with the lightweight jersey I chose. I think it’s super cute with skinny jeans and boots, or leggings and flats, or in nicer weather a miniskirt (not for me; for you younger ladies with the gams for it).

I love this! I just saw that Grosgrain shirt and was wondering what I could do with those flowers!
