I based the shape of this skirt on a NIKITA one I already own. The bought one is too long, so I modified the design to make mine finish at the knee.
There was a lot of guess-work involved drafting the pattern. It was tricky to know what shape the pieces were when it impossible to lay them flat.
Although the seams are a bit bulky at the pockets, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Unidentified remnant! I excitedly grabbed what I thought was a chambray/denim/linen from the bargain bucket, not realising it had stretch in it. This made it a bit tricky to sew at times, but it is pretty comfy to wear now! Oh, and it has a 'mango' coloured lining on the waistband and in the pockets. This picks out the subtle peach-y tone in the 'denim'.
